Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe that has inspired several ancient literary works,  declared a World Heritage Site from the UNESCO since 2013, offers unique landscapes with spectacular views.
The Workshop is focused on letting you discover the landscape of Etna and its caves during the best moment of the day, so you will be able to immortalize them as best as you can.
PS: If the weather conditions should be negative and do not allow the correct execution of the workshop, it could be subject to a date displacements or, in other cases, the refund of amounts already paid is expected.

INTRODUCTION:
Some topics will be treated regarding landscape photography, focusing in particular on:

• Composition and light
  
• JPEG or RAW
• Using of filters (ND, GDN, Polarizer)
• Panoramic photography
• A bit of post-production
• Rules for preparing a file for different platforms and for prints

PROGRAM:
Day 1:

• Meeting & lodgind accomodation
  
• Workshop presentation
  
• Climbing the volcano to reach the Serracozzo Cave (Grotta Serracozzo)
• Lunch and continuation of the climbing to reach the Bove Valley (Valle del Bove) to photograph the sunset
  
• Overnight stay

Day 2:

• Dawn at Sartorius Mountains (Monti Sartorius)
• Breakfast
• Shots revision and post-production
  
• End of the Workshop

You can try the equipment Marco Calandra to better understand the information explained during the day.

RECOMMENDED EQUIPMENT:

• Digital SLR camera
• Wide-angle lens (for landscapes), medium-telephoto (for the environment), telephoto (for details)
• Tripod

TO WHOM IS IT ADDRESSED:
The workshop is suitable both for beginners and for those who want to deepen their knowledge of the themes written above.
Some advanced techniques will be explained too, such as the use of the filters at dusk and dawn.

CLOTHING:
It is highly recommended a suitable clothing for the mountain, especially hiking boots.

PRICE:
The price of the workshop is 179 EUR and the price includes:
Two-day photography course with Marco Calandra
Overnight at the nearby structure

DOES NOT INCLUDE:
Lunch & dinner
Travel and / or health insurance
All that has not been written under the heading "Price"

USEFUL INFORMATION:
The course will be carried out also in case of light rain.
The booking of the course is considered done after the payment of the first 60 EUR via PayPal.
The remaining part will be paid the same day of the course.
If during the course the participants will not come, the paid part will not be refunded.
If the course will be canceled, another day will be chosen or, if the weather conditions permits it, the part already paid will be refunded.
