About

ENG:
Marco Calandra is an Italian-Swedish landscape/travel photographer born in Gothenburg (Sweden) in 1989.
His interest in photography starts in 2010, after buying a compact digital camera to keep all the memories of the summer of that year.
After abandoning his studies in Engineering and after the enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania, he decides to take the plunge by buying his first DSLR.
His passion for photography increases over the years, thanks not only to magazines, books and photo blogs, but also travels.
In 2014, he writes a thesis on "The Unreality of the photography", achieving the highest score. In the same year he decides to continue with the two-year specialization in Photography and to finish his studies with a master degree.
A few years later, after having used and having acquired experience with his first DSLR, he decides to move up to a higher level by purchasing a Full Frame.
His academic career ends in 2017, with a thesis named "The silent landscapes" achieving again the highest score.
In these years, he has grown his portfolio and his photographic experience traveling across Europe, capturing a variety of landscapes ranging from volcanic to snowy lands, from the most famous capitals to some unexplored corners.
At the moment he is living in Gothenburg, Sweden.
